Cornerstone were able to successfully get the home out of special measures and embargos within 3 months. On the 3rd of May the home was reinspected and achieved an increase of improvements in all domains with an overall rating of Requires Improvements.

Cornerstone assisted with the filling of beds to get the home financially stable as well as looking at budgets whilst not affecting care to stop the home closing.

Cornerstone were able to successfully train a senior carer into the Registered Manager of the home.

Cornerstone then conducted monthly supportive visits to ensure the home and newly trained manager and set the provider with overseeing audits so they had confidence they knew what to observe so they never had to endure this again.

In July 2019 on the following CQC inspection the home was rated Good in all areas and to date has maintained this rating, with also staying full and finically viable. The manager is still in place.

Cornerstone continued to support the manager and provider remotely and visited the site often until January 2020.

The home has recently been in contact for potential assistance to become Outstanding.
